Can it really be that hard? I want a tank that is 8" wide, 12" deep and 60" long for my desk. 5 pieces of glass and some silicone, right? What am I missing? Maybe use acrylic? I want rimless.
I have an MP10 for one end, and will use the last 6" or so for a mini sump.

It's not hard I've built plenty of sump tanks

Can I use 3/8" acrylic without any crossbracing? That's the max I can use for the MP10 I am planning. I want a rimless look. Pretty much i want to build a 5 foot version of the Mr. Aqua tanks.
I can get a custom heat sink from HeatSinkUSA for $20, and a complete driver and LED package from RapidLED for another $200. I plan to use a Tunze 9001 skimmer. A 100w Enhiem heater, Aqua lifer, ReefKeeper Lite and a Rio 1200 should complete the build list.
Black sand with a pair of snowflake clowns. The corals will only be Zoas, Ricordia and a few LPS.
