This coral made it onto the captive frag market about 5 years ago; does anyone have a photo of their grown out colony? Please share photos and experiences with this sometimes tricky Acropora.

Here's a photo of the coral in question. This is mine after about 9 months under a 250 watt DE halide. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e129/Gargantiousb/Ice-Fire-1.jpg

lots of flow resulted in a thicker bush.

Mr. Pluto, i love that growth!!! I keep high flow to get my corals to do that because i love the look of a healthy thick clustered acro. Skinny long branches dont look good to me at all :)

looks nice! Pluto, how big was it 4 years ago? I am curious of the expected growth rate. And what's your light?

This is mine. It grows relatively fast in my dirty tank. I find that it has whiter body with brighter light.

Don't know if it is the original Ice Fire but I got mine in 2006 and over the last year is taking off. We split a mini colony 3 ways and I was the only one to keep it alive.http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/conchreef/IMG_20131227_185621_823_zpsd5adf2a3.jpghttp://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/conchreef/IMG_20130930_190031_600_zps7c38ecc0.jpghttp://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b496/conchreef/IMG_20141030_153247_607_zps61f1b6d3.jpg

Thanks Sahin. I was surprise myself that it grew so fast and the part of it that saw more light had better color.
