Im confused why my calcium had been at 520 steadily for the past weeks. My tank (40 cube) has about 10 sps frags and a few lps and about 7 zoa frags. I Dose alk and mag every other day and it stays about alk:9.5 mag:1320.. I DONT dose calcium and im boggled to why its so high and why nothing is taking it in? Right now im blaming the salt im using (kent) i do a 15%wc every week. could the calcium levels be to high in the salt ? Help?

What does new salt water (just mixed) measure? Also what test kit are you using? There is a possibility that it could be giving a false reading or it you may be not testing correctly.

Yes, the salt might be very high in calcium. I'd measure some freshly-mixed saltwater and work from there.

Yeah i never really thought about testing newly mixed salt. thats a good idea. Its Red Sea kit.

This wont hurt my corals will it ? I also notice i dont have any Coraline algae growth, i thought it loved calcium

520 shouldn't affect your corals but you're definitely going to want to bring it down, as far as coraline how long has the tank been setup? And don't forget when you measure your freshly mixed salt water make sure your salinity and temperature is the same as your tank water.

My tank has been up for about 4 to 5 months now still no coraline

4 to 5 months is not very long, give it time and before you know it you'll wish you didn't have as much.
