Tonga Branch Rock Comes from What?

Just wondering what Tonga branch rock once was, and if it is pulled from the ocean or mined from the earth.

Real Tonga branch is old coral reef, like almost all live rock brought in from the South Pacific. They use it as a lucrative alternative to mining it to produce concrete (the only source in many of the islands) - look up the difference in prices that are charged for one use vice the other.

Real Tonga Branch comes from, well, Tonga ;) Look-a-like Tonga branch can come from anywhere in the SouthPac.
