Hi guys. on two of my rocks in my tank that have this algae that bristles like a tooth brush. I have some coral on the rock so I cant soak them. And I have a puffer so i cant add any snails! a toothbrush does nothing against them. Whats the best way to get rid of it?? will a sea hare fall prey to the puffer?

I have tried that to no avail thewe two rocks have been with me for years and the algae doesn't spread.. it just stays. The puffer and tang graze on it but they're just like goats... Moving on when it's not the perfect length

Sounds like shaving brush algae. Harmless. If it's not spreading, why is it a problem?

It's kiindof ugly. I'm not opposed to having a good food supplement for me puffer and tang that naturally grows.. I just like less green in the tank. I'll see if I can get a picture up tomorrow if you guys wouldn't mind giving an ID for me.
