I have 3/4" ID nylon tubing on my return pump from the sump to my DT. I need a ball valve to regulate the flow of this nylon tubing but the only ones I can find are brass fittings. Can anyone guide me where to look for fittings for this? I would like a tee fitting too so there would be no back pressure on my pump. Someone please help! I'm doing a sump overhaul/rebuild right now so now is the time to do it. I need help reefing masters!

there are plumbing and irrigation section at Lowes that have all you need. I just go there when I need some plumbing things. Home Depot does not have as much as lowes.

I Will check there. When I was first plumbing my sump I bought all my equipment from lowes but I did not know they had fittings for nylon tubing. Thanks! I'll check that out

The issue you will have is the barb fittings for the tube will reduce the flow because the I.D. of the 3/4" barb fitting is 1/2".

I purchased mine from the local hydroponic store. They have the valves (much cheaper than Aquarium stores if they even have them), tees, and black vinyl hose. Fir the valve, 2 tees, and 6 feet of hose, I paid like 8.00. They commonly have pipettes, measuring cups, large syringes, etc. Along with tds and pH pens, fans, and a lot more.
Definately worth checking out as they have a lot of things we use interested also.

Yeah, being a fireman I understand the importance of water flow and how ID is so important. I'm going to use a tee fitting to make sure there is no pressure on my pump and hope for the best. I don't feel like I have any other option at this point

I will see if I have somewhere like that around me. That sounds like it could be very useful. Thanks for the suggestion!

See above comment. Forgot to quote you. My apologies

The restriction will not hurt the pump, it will just impact the flow.

Oh ok. I thought if the pump was pumping into a restricted oriface it would be constricted which would be hard on the pump. I found a product made by twolittlefishies that is an inline barbed 3/4" valve. I ordered it and a tee so I will be installing those when the packages arrive.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. so your tubing goes in this order correct? Return pump, tubing, tee fitting, tubing, ball valve, tubing into the tank.

Lol, no.. Ha ha.. Because I am tinkering(modified) with my reactor, I have 2 valves on it, 2 tees.
I took pictures 296859 of it last night. Lol, yes my tubing is nutty right now, I'm doing a lot of experimenting and haven't tidied it up yet..
