300 to 3000 GPH

10x (300 gph) is way too low, even for a non-SPS tank (unless your goal is something less than complete health and thriving coral). I addressed this in one of your "10x" replies in another thread. Please, take the time to read the links I posted.

OP: I have 1600 gph in my 20 high. I'd shoot for 1500 at a bare minimum on a 30g. More is preferable. You want as much water movement as possible without damaging your coral. The key to high flow rates is wide flow patterns. This allows high rates while keeping the velocity down, and velocity is what does damage.

This link explains exactly why water flow is important: Feature Article: Water flow is more important for corals than light. Part II: The science of corals and water flow (http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2006/8/aafeature)
