Hi Guys,
Been lurking for ages (years in fact) and my head is now full of REALLY useful info. Now i need some specific help though... I've finally broken the Mrs down and i'm starting my voyage into the reefer world...
I have on order a 32"x21"x24 Display Tank and a sump of an undecided size at present. The cabinet (built my good self and 8yo son) has a space of 28x20x26 but need to account for the clearance necessary to actually get equipment in the sump so realistically ~18" high max.
I have the following equipment on order too
1x Reef Octopus classic-150
1x Eheim 1262
The issue I have is the sump design, what size compartment does the skimmer need to function? I have seen footprint sizes for the skimmer (all of which vary by an inch or 2) but I'm assuming I'll need some extra clearance around it as well? Anyone running one in a confined space?
