I just recently replaced the filters in my 5 stage Spectrapure RODI unit. Everything is good except the TDS before the last DI cartridge is 0 while the TDS coming out of the last DI cartridge starts at 200-300 TDS for a few minutes, eventually getting down to 0 TDS. Each time I start a new batch of RODI the TDS is high, then goes back down to 0 after a while.
This is my first time replacing the filters.
Also, there is a strange smell in the higher-than-zero TDS water. Best way to describe the smell is like a fresh bag of paintballs... nasty. If anyone has ever smelled a bag of paintballs you know that smell, kind of a rotten smell. Dirty belly button? :)
