Is it possible to treat fish with cupramine without a copper test kit? If so, what steps do I take?(how long to dose, how much, when, etc)
The tank is 20 gallons.

i think you'll need a copper test kit. according to the bottle direction, 20 drops per 10.5G first day, wait 48 hours and add 20 drops more. that would make copper concentration at 0.5mg/L for 10.5G and leave at this concentration for 14 days. but people usually do it for 3 weeks or 4 weeks at copper concentration at 0.4mg/L. you cannot use prime together with cupramine. if you need to do water change, you need to match the copper level of old and new water first. you could make some calculations but it would not be exact. that's why i think you'll need a copper test kit like salifert or seachem test kit.

Thanks for the advice pyithar. I have considered doing the tank transfer method but don't have any room for it. I will dose again tomorrow and wait for a few weeks to see how things go.

don't forget to take out activated carbon, poly filter, live rocks if you're using any of them. they'll absorb copper and it would be impossible to determine the copper concentration without a test kit by then.

I am in the middle of having to dose my 125 FOWLR. Get a test kit and test regularly. It took more than twice the recommended dosage to get the copper to the right level, and more to keep it there.
They are not very expensive compared to losing your fish.

You can do it without a test kit... Should you? No!!! You can have 2 bad outcomes: dead fish or fish that are still diseased. Get a test kit

SeaChem test kit with SeaChem Cupramine.
Agreed. If you buy Cupramine then buy the Seachem test kits.
I would NOT treat without using a test kit, and this is the one to use.
