Anyone using siporex filter media? Have Q.

I picked up some and wanted to know if you needed to rinse it before using?

I did. It was quite dusty.

Thanks did the siporex work for you? I have a dedicated aquarium that I plan to use to hold the siporex containers. I'm going to run pre-filtered water into the tank. I guess the recommendation is have a low flow? Thanks again.

Still too soon to say one way or another as I've only had it online for 6 weeks or so. I wanted to be able to have less rock in my display, and have so far removed about a third without any ill effects. This isn't definitive as my bioload is fairly low and I have sand, but still I find the siporax provides some peace of mind.
