Howdy all, I've been trolling for a while and I appreciate all the knowledge everyone has given me!

I am setting up a 150 w/ 55 gal sump. DT is drilled with two pairs of holes for 1" lines. Found a good deal on the Fluval SP6 under $200, but am wondering if that will be way too much flow for my system to handle. I am planning to split off a portion for a fuge and another split for each of the 2 returns.

Of course I can ball valve it to restrict flow and my returns will only be 3/4". There will be almost 6' of vertical head, plus fittings and such.

Should I jump on it or just go with the SP4? Just worried that SP4 won't be enough after head loss.

Thx!

I have a SP6 on my 190g and it also supplies water to my reactors. 7ft head height and has lots of flow. I think you would be good with the Sp4 unless you want to run reactors off it also.

considering you will only need about 700 gph of flow needed the SP4 will be enough
