I will make this brief and to the point.

I work in the oil field, and find myself away from home pretty often. My wife and I both share this hobby and enjoy it!

We moved our old tank into this tank two months ago. Everything has been doing fantastic and we have had zero issues.
[U]

Temp = 79.8
Salinity = 1.026
Alk = 8.3 DKH
calcium = 500+ i cant be certain she said one syringe didn't change its color using salifert test kit.
Magnesium = 1410

UNTIL, today. My wife sent me some pictures yesterday of the tank and looked good, however, today she calls me in a frantic because the acros and monti's are dying.

I am using One Radion XR30W Pro Gen 3 LED.. It is hung with the Eco Tech Light holder stand.

Have been using this graph and have seen Zero bleaching issues with any LPS and or SPS..

This isn't a lighting issue, that's for sure. RTN that is widespread and sudden has to be set off by some type of major swing in a variable such as alkalinity or salinity, or some type of pathogen was introduced to the system.

In terms of SPS tanks this is generally referred to as a crash, it's important to pinpoint the cause. Good luck :sad1:

The wife is currently checking parameters..

Temp = 79.8
Salinity = 1.026
Alk = 8.3 DKH
calcium = 500+ i cant be certain she said one syringe didn't change its color using salifert test kit.
Magnesium = 1410

You need to know what your parameters were before and what they are now, especially Ca, Kg and Alk. However, RTN can also happen because of external factors or contaminants. Without knowing your parameters and if something was done around your tank, it's impossible to say exactly what caused this.

According to the paper i had left by the fishtank.. It seems i only recorded Alk and Calc.. other then temp and salinity.

2.5 weeks prior to this incident

salinity = 1.026
Temp = 80F
Alk = 9.6
Calc = 450

How are you checking salinity? Calibrating the refractometer with RODI or known standard?
