I am installing a Conductivity Controller for my PLC System for my Reef tanks.

Got two GL PRO C3A1N controllers on the way.
Trying to spec out the probes.

Which one would hold up better in a reef environment, Graphite or Platinum plates ?

Looking at 10-k, PT-1k. If you even have certain brand you like, please let me know also. Thinking about Sensorex or something like them.

Thank so much.

For those that was wondering.

Platinum is more accurate than Graphite.
Both are safe to use with saltwater tanks.

I've typically used the 4 electrode graphite probes made by Orion (now Thermo Orion) for use with my Orion model 128 meter.

I don't know how a platinum cell would compare.

4 plates are long lasting probes. They are not susceptible to plates degradation like the 2 plate.
