If it aint broke dont fix it... ;)

JK, why are you thinking of switching? Def better quality product with the mp60 but a lot of happy Jebao users out there.

Well considering you have less than 200$ Invested in the 2 pumps you currently are using I would just stick with them. The MP60 would be the only pump you would ever need but it will cost you 650$ and unless you have all Ecotech stuff with a reef link then you don't get the full controllability that Ecotech offers. A WP 60 would do the same job. I have a mp60 and a wp60 and they are almost identical to one another as far as flow goes

I have two MP40's on my 220 and they are just fine when it comes to flow. In fact i have had to back them off just a little. I just purchased a Module for my Profilux to control my MP40s which is cool and offers more features than just the stand alone vortech controller. I also like that due to the motor being on the outside of the tank, thats less unwanted heat added to the water. Thats just my two cents

But like stated above, if it aint broke then dont fix. However if you want more out of a powerhead and just happen to have money lying around, then jump on it.

Depends, talking just one powerhead? I don't know. Will it be sufficient enough for sps, Maybe? However a powerhead that size may kick up a lot of sand or the funnel of air from the surface when cranked up all the way to reach the other side of the tank. It sounds like you are really wanting vortech. In my opinion if you do make the plunge then scale down to mp40 and get two. I didn't buy both of mine at once. Bought one and then when had the money I got the second one. You may be able to find a deal on used ones in the selling used equipment forum down below. If you look and wait, you'll probably find two mp40w for the price of 1 mp60.

I have an MP60 and MP40 in a bow front 200 gallon tank. One on the side and one on opposite side back corner. Love the flow this produces, but sometimes wish that I could adjust the angle of flow inside the tank. Without having the ability to place an angle on the flow, it sometimes makes it difficult to place corals where you want. Especially if you have any softies....Just my two cents

Do you have sand? Sand blowing around would be your biggest issue

+1 jebao.

I like being able to angle the flow, and the hundreds in savings that can be applied toward other equipment.

The cord into the tank isn't THAT intrusive, especially against a black background.
