RadionG3 Pro's fan runs when on standby mode?

I've recently set up my a Radion G3 Pro's & discovered the other day that the fans run (on all 3 of them) whilst on standby/off time mode. Is this normal because I thought the fans where there to keep the units cool when the lights were on & don't understand why they would run when the lights are off.

They stay on for the Gen 2's. I assume Gen 3's are the same.

The fan is for cooling AND humidity control. It will run when light is off.
