So I've taken a new approach to ridding my tank of dinoflagellates (dino) after being blacked out and overdosed on H202 for going on 5 days. I scooped uo the top layer of sand and it's sitting it's straight RO water to kill any in the sand that's managing to survive. I did stir uo a lot of stuff doing so.

I'm trying to figure out what's this stuff? Is isn't like waste from the fish (on top of sand bed) that's settled? Is the stuff on the fan dead dinos?

My fish are in a hospital tank. They and the coral and crabs have been dipped before placing in it. My rocks been blacked out and soaked in h202 ro water for 2 weeks now.

Ideas?

If your using ro/di water there is no reason they will not go away on there own. They are all part of a tank maturing. Your tank is going to go through a ton of ugly stages before it looks good.

Mulm - basically detritus.

looks exactly like the same stuff my diamond watchman goby is constantly throwing around as he sifts the tank, doing his job.

Yes but what is it?

It does look like generic detritus but there may also be a bacterial bloom sliming up the surfaces, making them somewhat sticky.
