My LFS is listing this on thier stock list. I can't find any info on Live Aquaria etc. or anywhere on the web. They usually list other names fish are identified as.

Anyone have any knowledge of these? What are they also called?
Been googling and found nothing with this name.

No common name such as that but most likely Paracheilinus carpenteri

Sounds like they have no idea what it is, except maybe the color!

funny thing is I googled the exact name and the only thing that pops up is my LFS stock lists going back for years... LOL
I have an email in to my LFS owner to get a clarification.
I will let you know what he says if you're at all curious.
Thanks for the input guys

Don't feel bad one of my LFS labels them as "assorted flasher or assorted fairy wrasses", the other just puts the wrong name (had a Dusky wrasse labeled as a Christmas wrasse).

That's the way the wholesaler/shipper labels them...they are wholesaled at a few $ a piece!

I bought two female Cirrhilabrus lubbocki labeled as "Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse" back before I knew the difference :)

I meant to ask Brendon last time I was there, but forgot. I have never heard of a Linespot referred to as a "Burgundy" before.

He knows his Wrasses though, so not sure where that name came from.

yeah... I was in there last night and asked him. Got some Zoa frags last night... my first corals. I now can see why corals can get addicting. I want to go get more!
