Will a temporary spike in Mg impact fish?

I generally dump my newly mixed Mg into my sump to let it slowly mix through the tank. But right now I have baby Bangaii living in my sump. Will it be a problem for the fish? I can dump it slowly over time to help.

The effect would depend on the volume of the sump and how much magnesium is being dosed.
