What are you using for color temperature on your FOWLR tanks?
Any Pics?

I would say 12-14k ish looks about right.
For a fowlr, you don't need a ton of light, the fish most likely prefer something a little dimmer. The shimmer of LEDs is always nice in a FOWLR. I use adjustable kessils.

I use T-5s (ATI). My 6-bulb setup is 3 blue+, one coral+, one purple+, and one daylight.
The LED shimmer would be nice.

I use metal halides on my fowlr, it's a 10 ft long tank and I use 3 - 250w fixtures. I use to prefer icecap 20k bulbs but they are no longer.... Now using $13 bulbs I found online
For me I do not like the shimmer of LED's, looks to fake due to the shimmer showing the color of each LED light.
If I had to do it over again I would of probably gone with 3 - 175w fixtures....

I have (3) 150 watt Phoenix 14k halides over my 180 FOWLR

I agree, if you can see the colors of each LED that looks horrible. Kessil a do not show this however. Halides provide a nice look as well, you just have to think about heat/efficiency IMO.

I use ReefBreeder LED's on mine. Even though I call it a FOWLR, I stock it with corals called pests by a lot of folks (i.e. Xenia, Anthelia, star polyps, etc.). The higher levels of nitrates and phosphates makes the softies grow pretty fast, and I can trade them to my LFS's for store credit.

Nice looking tank with some nice fish. I have a pacific sun LED light and have it set at 16000. Seems to be the best looking.

Yes to some heat can be a issue with metal halides. For my aquarium my heaters still kick on all year long.....
Those tank pics are v-nice. Not as noticeable as some pics but looking at the sand you can still see the different color led's
