Just did a water change and usually I'm spot on but some how I ended up taking out to much and my salinity is at 1.023. Can I mix a small batch of salt water in a hour and pour in it or do I have to let it mix for a day or two like normal? It's Red Sea coral pro salt

Would I have to put more salt in my water or how would I do that?

As long as the new water is clear you can use it.

If 1.023 is too low you can raise the salinity by topping off with saltwater. Animals often cope with salinity drop easier than rises so do it slow. Just top off with saltwater.

1.023 is safe for everything we keep so no need to worry.

You're welcome.

BTW never add salt straight to the system. The chemical reaction that takes place can burn fishes gills.

I know this is off topic but do you think changing from reef crystals to Red Sea coral pro burned my red cap? Here is a pick but it was doing great till now. Never seen tissue receding from the middle.

I think this is from salt lying on the montipora.

I had salt creep an accidentally knocked it into my tank, I saw it land on my montipora and I tried to get it off right away. But it was a lot lighter where that salt landed and still is ( 5 days later)

well this is happening to all 4 of my red caps and they are in different spots. I'm just wondering if changing salt bumped up my mag or alk and starting burning my SPS because my birds nest is looking like its bleaching too. I havent messed with my lights or anything like that and my mag is at 1500 and alk around 8.0
