New to salt water

Hi all I'm new to salt water and looking at getting a biocube 29. I am army up at fort drum anyone on here have any advice at all I would greatly appreciate it. I want to make the tank a reef rank and have it be as easy as possible for my wife to take care of when I'm gone for extended periods of time thank you all in advance

get 2 large drums, one for fresh rodi water and the other for saltwater in case of tdys and deployments. keep only soft corals and have the lights on timer.
