Question on filling up a quarantine tank

Just about to start filling my main tank. Will be using RO water. Also starting up quarantine tank. Should I run my main tank for 30 days and then fill my quarantine tank up from that water running in my main tank or can I start my quarantine tank now (at the same time I start my main tank) with new RO water and add bottled bacteria. Will it cycle properly?

The way I did it originally was to hang an old HOB Emperor Bio wheel filter on my DT while the whole thing was cycling. Once cycled I started doing WC's and used that water for my QT, along with the HOB filter. I would continue doing WC's the same way, disposing the water from the QT and replacing it with the water from the DT.

I dont see the need to wait, i would just set both up the same time and cycle through
