Palytoxin Question- Can you get it from?

I am having to remove all the water from my tank to fix a leak. I have a rock wall and can not remove all the zoas and palys on it. Is it possible for the palys to release toxin while they are sitting out of water over night? Would it be enough to harm my family? I placed a wet towel over the tank in hopes that would help prevent the spread of the toxin if they do release any. Would we have to be in close proximity to the palys to get affected?

i don't think they will release toxin unless you touch them. i believe palytoxin is in liquid form because they squirted the toxin towards my eyes once when i was handling them out of the water. but i had my safty glasses on. the wet towel will be more than enough imo.
