Everyone post pics of the weird or odd acropora you have. Anything that is not really your standard acro, Nubby, skinny, smooth or hairy it doesn't matter. Brown, green, white or rainbow anything works! After all people like me aren't about color all the time. I like the weird growth patterns and pieces with odd names that dont get imported often. There has to be a lot, I see weird ones on DD every week or so, they aren't colorful but have some crazy growth patterns!

Don't be shy, this isn't for the best coral contest obviously. Doesn't have to be wild or mariculture but obviously if its from other tanks its a good chance its not THAT odd :spin2:

Here is my entry, I forget what the name of it is, if you know chime in please! Its like a combination of a abro and a monticulosa, which are two of my favorites! Might bet some pinkish purple tips I am guessing because of the growth rim color. Kind of a cool green color as well :). But the thick base of the coral is what I love. It was a little tough to get acclimated and started dying where the light was shaded underneath but I glued it and so far its been OK.

I think this fits the bill.
Sold as an unknown flat encrusting Acropora frag. The growth pattern is pretty strange. The short branches/clusters rise up from the purple growth rim. Under MH the purple growth rim is revealed but completely green under LFS LED.
I've never seen anything like it.
