Aiptasia?? Please help me ID?

I just noticed these today. About 2.5 inches long. One grabbed a pcs of siliver side that's how I noticed them. They are living in a cave rock at the bottom on my tank. Thanks for your help.

Not aiptasia but some kind of a worm.

They are light colored with dark strips. When I shined the flashlight on them they didn't seem to mind it. Do you think I should try to pull them out? I'm seeing a few more around my tank now that I'm looking for them. Do you think they will hurt my sps or lps? Thanks for your help.

It popped up right in the middle of that zoa. I pulled it out and thought I scraped it off. I only got half. Have to do it again tomorrow.

Hey pottery I'd pull the frag out and treat it in a at tank. Problem with scraping it off is that any little bits that break off in the water will spawn a new aiptasia.

Glad that was it. I don't think they are harmful but I'm not an expert.

I pulled it out and used gloves and goggles and a exacto. I wasn't prepared for the little ******* to shrink up so quick. I couldn't see it all. So I scraped, rinsed in a bucket of aquarium water to get any free pieces off and then put it back in tank. Then when everything opened up, I only got half and one or two polyps. I was ****ed. Plus my eyes are not that great. Next time magnifying glass and exacto.

I have read that kalk paste works well but never had any aiptasia so just regurgitating what I read from others.

Try aiptasia X, a shot in the mouth and about 30 secs later they implode....all done!

If its a spaghetti worm (which it looks like one to me sort of dark tho) they are harmless detrivors.
