I was out making the rounds today at the LFS. This poor guy comes running back into the store with a fish in his hand. He had slipped on the ice and up he went with his bag. The bag burst open and the poor fish is flopping around in the snow and 10 degree weather. Sadly the fish did not make it.

We missed that last night. But there is still some tough spots around. When I left the store I was very careful getting back to the car after that with my cooler.

Did the LFS cover it?

They should have made sure that the lot was free of ice and snow. Technically their insurance would cover the loss, and they should be liable for the fish as well as any injury to the customer.

If it was in the parking lot, yes the store or the strip mall should be responsible for the mans fall since it was on their property.

What do you mean 'still' - it's barely been a day. But, I take the optimists view: it's baseball season!

You just have to see the positive here... Questionable officiating costing the Cowboys a win put a smile on the faces of a LOT of Detroit Lions fans ;)

I don't know what the outcome was, they are decent place so I am sure it was all taken care off.

I certainly thought it was a good catch. Other than the obscure rule It was a great game.

Not true....this is a common urban myth. When conditions are icy or snowy and obvious to the average person, there is a legal term for this. It means that you are aware and need to be careful. This is why you can sue a store if you slip on a spill on an other wise dry floor. It's only a fault if the conditions are negligent.

My whole driveway is a sheet of ice and I got back from my LFS today and was walking so slow up my drive way with a 5 gallon bucket of water and an acro, I must have looked funny trying to make it up the driveway lol
