The top of the is 9 ft in the air. My tank is in the wall between my garage and living room. The garage is lower than the rest of the house. I have to get on a ladder to get on a man made stand to get to the top of the tank. Want something I can do from the ground. Auto feeders scare me staying on or something. How reliable are they?

Those old people grabber poles just attach a little cup put the food you want and reach. Or a broom stick rigged up some way. This would be the cheapest for sure. Broomstick a hanger some twine you could make it fancy with PVC. Run the twine down the center hooked to a small cup so when you pull the rope it flips the cup into the tank.

I assume you have to do chores other than feeding. A nice platform to stand on is an idea if you have the space.

Yes I have a platform. I am just trying to avoid the daily climb. Been climbing up there for 3 years now!

Catapult made out of rubber bands and popsicle sticks.

Place the food in front of the suction side of the return pump. The food then gets sucked into the pump and spread all over the tank so everything gets a chance to eat.

Easiest solution so far. Do you have stairs to the platform? This would make it so much easier to get up there.

Any way of adding a cap and valve to your plumbing. Where you could screw cap off place the food inside, rescrew cap on. Open vlave and the food would go through your plumbing out the return into the tank? The guys on 'Tanked' built somthing like that for a family with same issue.

Love it! Going to try this. Thanks
