I have a 40g breeder with
4 three stripe damsels, 1 clown, 1 peppermint shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 1 coral banded shrimp,1 emerald crab, 1 fighting tiger conch, and the usual clean-up crew(turbos and blue leg hermits).
I have the following corals

and a feather duster i think

I think I need more light, currently running 4 T8 sitting on top of tank (2-actinic, 1- 10k, 1-6500k) maybe 1.5" off water, on 8hrs a day

I have a 2-175 MH setup (PFO Lighting) that will run 175w MH M57, 175w MV H39, 150w MH M107 ( got no idea what all these numbers mean)

Would this be too much light for the 40g, If not, how high up off water should I hang them, what temp bulbs would be good for it, Once I finish setting up my 75 the 40g will be for paly/zoa/ only. I will have to get some serious lights for the 75 and am trying to use what I have on hand for the 40g.

sorry for the cell phone pics,, the white dots on the back glass are snail eggs, or they are pooping on the glass

Don't pull it off. If you can remove the rock easily, remove it and let it dry out for a few days or more.

If not, injecting with Aiptasia X or kalk paste have provided mixed results for people. Last thing you want to do is let them start reproducing...unless you're planning on keeping them as your featured livestock :)
