Hi everyone,
Finally I start to cycle my tank. My tank is a used 130D Red Sea...a used tank from my friend who quit the hobby.
I got some "purple live rock"... live sand...with two pumps, and a protein skimmer.
My question is...the tank does not have any filtration system... can the skimmer do the work..or should I get some media for filtration purpose? If so should I get the media basket I found a Amaz_n ?
Another questions... do I need to dump all the water after cycling a month or so? The guy who sold the rock to me this does not require recycling the water after a month...comparing to those Fuji live rock (white color) in teh water in his store... Is this true?
Finally, how long more do I need to wait before i can put the coral in.
