Hey so I have a question my hydrometer keeps giving me weird readings most the time it reads perfectly 1.025 salt content, and every 1/5 it says the salt content is 1.028 is that something to be concerned about or is that normal? Also what is the best way to cycle a tank?

Make sure there are no bubbles on the hydrometer's swing arm. When you have the hydrometer full of water and you see bubbles on the swing arm, just take a pencil and tap it's eraser on the arm to dislodge the bubbles.

Looks good. Lose the glass top and find another way to mount the light.

So what does removing the top help with? Is it an air flow or a reduced lighting issue?
