Ok I'm gonna go back to halide. I'm not getting exactly what I want from my Sps and I'm transitioning to strictly sps so how do I go about going to a 400w Mh from my LED?

Without knowing Anything other than led to 400watt halide, I would say either use eggcrate to shade the tank the first week or two or start with short photo periods. How long did you have the led and what kind was it by chance as I know others will ask?

You'll need to acclimate.
So just start off running them a couple hours a day and slowly go up from there.
You could also maybe play with the distance.

I have a rimless 60g cube so it's 24" top to bottom. The light is an ocean revive d120. Been running it nearly a year the blue channel is at 100% and the white around 75%.

You can you pickup window screen from the hardware store. I pickup a roll of 48"x84" for ~$10.00. You can place several layers on top of your tank, removing a layer once a week.

+1

Acclimate and you will be fine.

Your SPS growth will be much better under the 400 watt halide also.

Personally I would have thought of Notorious BIG's version but also a classic. As for the acclimation its under way. I raised it 2 feet up, just doing about 3.5 hrs a day for the first three days and tomorrow is day 3. At which point if I see no I'll affects come day 4-6 I'll go up to 4 hours for those days and then day 7-10 I'll go to a 6 hour day. Feel free to offer any suggestions if you think i need to speed it up or slow down the acclimation but I'm just kind of making it up as I go. Also I threw a glass lid on to decrease some of the intensity at first. Stealing and modifying the screen idea. So far though no One seems to mind the extra juice, quite the opposite everything seems more polyp'd out than usual. I definitely can see a difference in color and as long as everything comes through this I'll be happy with the switch. I also just spent about 2 hours hanging some wire hiding kit which looks pretty good considering i did it at midnight. Fingers crossed so far so good. I'll keep yall posted.
