PH 7.8 (It fluctuates through out the day but not wildly)
Alk 3.2/9 dKh
Ca 520
Mag 1400

That Calcium seems high. PH seems a bit low. I haven't dosed this tank yet. It would seem I don't need to. So is this acceptable? The bio load is very small currently.

My other tank is so perfect in it's parameters I'm not used to seeing anything different.

That level is fine, IMO. Many Tanks of the Month have run at that level.

Whether or not you should dose depends on what you want to keep in the tank. If you have a lot of stony corals you will likely need to dose but a regular water change routine is usually sufficient to maintain calcium in tanks with mostly softies. Your current level of calcium may be outside the "normal" standard but it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Sorry, I was discussing only the pH. I agree that the calcium is a tad high, but it should be fine as is.

Just curious to which Salt Mix you are using Devi? Actually very nice numbers and I would not concern myself with the PH.

Oh good. I was a tad bit worried. This is my first time using my own RO/DI system. This tank I am using Kent Marine. The only reason I went with Kent is because it is so easy to find. It's actually working out pretty well.
