Does anyone else have completely black and white Clarks out there?

By this I mean no yellow on any of the fins, belly or snout.

Thanks

In this article there's a table of clarkii variants within Japanese waters. Some of which look very similar to yours.

Tail is still yellow. Pale (looks like it's on a not so great diet, IMO)... bust still yellow.

possibly diet, i agree.. seems to be a light lemon yellow in the caudal fin on both fish.

We will see

I believe there are wild populations with that coloration. It most likely isn't diet related considering those look like wild clowns.

They are wild, I can report that there is definitely more yellow in the tails now and the little one has started to show a yellow snout and pectoral fins. It could be diet, or anemone. I reckon that they are standard melanistic Philippine type clarkii. The larger has a v shaped caudal fin.

They eat more than any other clowns I have owned.

Here's a pretty good video showing some very similar clarkia clowns to yours. Inhabiting a merten's carpet no less.

Agreed, good find.. I wonder if either of mine will develop the bright yellow edges to the caudal fin.

They are quite different to the two in this video that are found here most often from the andaman sea.

My middle sized clarks has just developed the bright yellow edges to its fins and I have a presume i now have a pair that look identical to the fish in this video now, he anemone looks exactly the same as well!
