I have a Tunze 9002 running that I am CONSTANTLY having to mess with to keep it skimming appropriately-its running on a 29G tank. Is there a better skimmer out there that anyone can recommend? Ive done some research and it seems like there are a few other ones out there but not many reviews on them-any thoughts?

BTW its for a biocube so size...it matters ;)

What is the skimmer doing that prompts you to adjust it constantly??
Yes, mine overflows a bit when I turn off all the pumps when I feed.
Yes, mine sometimes has the foam top off an inch below the chimney top when I forget to top-off. -I am ok with that too.
Since the skimmate catcher can hold only 2 cups of the gunk I attached a tube to the bottom nipple of the catcher and now it drains into a gallon container.
I don't mess with the skimmer and empty the container every 2-3 weeks.
What makes you unhappy regarding your skimmer?

My skimmer just stops skimming all together-it stops bubbling completley even with the water level staying fine---it's kind of bizar

Sounds like the vent passage is blocked.
Take the skimmer apart and clean the passage way.
Afterward, periodically (weekly) let the air passage momentarily suck up some RODI to rinse out the salt that builds up.
Good luck
