Small crew added today
Lots of life in this simple setup
Patience is key to marine life
How long had it been running? How did you cycle your tank? If looks like a nice start.

I added 30 lb. Live rock
Another 6-7 lb of base rock and 10 lb of live sand
I let it cycle for 5 weeks at which point some purple and green and red is growing everywhere

The live rock provided amonia source

Running 5 weeks
I used live rock and live sand to cycle
I did little but wait and watch
The die off from the rock created ammonia source
Its a slower more natural way of cycling.

Didn't you read your own link?
"Bottom line for the common Bristle worms typically seen in a tank are that they are excellent scavengers and are good to have in a tank as part of the left-over food clean-up-crew."

Yeah I visited every aquarium store in Edmonton Alberta and decided the staff at Aquarium Illusions were who I want to work with on this build. He said the rock would all die off but as you can see its doing ok

Tank looks like your on your way! What type if any mechanical filtration are you using?
I dont have any mechanical except for using the hob. After w.c. with some polyfil to clear up debris.
I run it for 24 hr and the water clears up nice.
I know its not the popular setup but it's going well.
Live rock filtration is all
I am considering a skimmer down the road.
