Have been contemplating a simple 4-6 LED array for a sump light...all you spectrum gurus please chime in on what LED's I should choose for this relatively low light application

So... I am far from an expert ... my suggestion would be to look up the types of macro you plan on growing and see what their maximum growth spectrum would be. I never looked it up since I just use a standard White light bulb. Probably not ideal ... :facepalm:

I bought the JBJ nano glo for about 60 bucks and it did a less an ideal job of growing chaeto.

I then switched to this (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0037009XI/ref=pe_385040_30332200_TE_item) $15 bulb from Amazon that is working well.
