Does anyone know for a fact, that the less water GPH is pushed by this pump equates to slightly lower continuous wattage use?

Meaning.... for a hypothetical example:

Maximum GPH = a hypothetically 300 continuous watts
GPH at 50% = a hypothetical 250 continuous watts
GPH at 25% = a hypothetical 210 watts

Yes.. As long as you restrict in on the output side, the power consumption should be less. I have seen this with my Reeflo pumps (Hammerhead and Darts) and seen a drop in amps via my Apex when the flow is gated down increasing head pressure.
