Copperband seems to be attacked

Came home tonight and found my copperband is surfacing at the top of the tank, closely checking one side of his body seems to be wounded! He starts to breath a bit heavy as the gills are very active. He's the latest addition to the tank for about a week or so.

Is he eating? Was it qt'd?

It needs to be in a QT pronto. Poor guy. Who is showing aggression?

He was not QT, I don't see any aggression from other fish, but I'm afraid the black cap basslet could be the culprit. I know the black cap can be mean, I have seen it.
