absolutly unbelievable rocks!

Thanks so much for the great rocks (250 lb) and 100 lb of live sand. I met Rus on Friday at BWI (He was half an hour late), When I got home it was 10:30 PM. I unpacked the rocks (six large boxes), and the first thing I said was "My God, This is beautiful" It was absolutely worth the wait for extra half an hour.
I spent 5 hours putting my new live sand and rocks in my tank. I had already have the tank running for 10 weeks with 200 lb of base rock and 200 lb of dry aragonite sand. I expected the tank to clear after a couple of weeks, but Saturday morning I went downstairs to see what happened, and Woooo..... The tank was sparkling clear. The rocks looked unbelievable. The colors, the life that is everywhere. I didn't believe it, so I thought I wait one more day before I send you this massege. And here I am it is only the second day and my tank looks like it was here forever. All the parameters are within specs. No Nitrate, no nitrite. I just cannot believe it. Few more weeks and it will be time to stock!!!
May be I will need the cleaning crew soon. What do you think?

Glad everything worked out OK and you are pleased. I would wait at least a week before adding any inverts and then just add a few snails as needed. The tank will naturally cycle through some algae blooms and if you keep the bioload low for the time being then you should not have any problems. Be sure to keep calcium and alkalinity levels at normal reef tank levels, continue with lots of water circulation and be sure the skimmer is working and kept clean, and just minimal lighting (4-6 hours of fluorescents) for the first week or so.

did you get the tonga or the elkhorn rock?

I got about 200lb of tonga and about 50lb of elkhorn. Totaly different shaps and "personality". I recommend you chose one and go with it. I can not recommend one over the other. I wish I have two tanks so I could make it one of each.
