I have a 4x T5 unit and im trying to achieve a a crisp colourful reef tank without an over-saturated blue, pretty much like the tank in this image:

I want to use ATI bulbs, which of their tubes should I try?

After going through his thread here, this is the last time he mentioned a bulb combination before that particular photo, in 2009: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14301818#post14301818

- KZ 14K
- 22K Giesemann
- 10K KZ
- 22K Giesemann
- KZ Fiji Purle
- 10K KZ
- 22K Giesemann
- KZ 14K

That picture is from late 2010, this post here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=17515453#post17515453

But then goes to mention his bulb combo here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=17784517#post17784517

- ATI Blue Plus
- ATI Blue Special
- ATI Blue Plus
- ATI Blue Plus
- KZ Fiji Purple
- ATI Blue Plus
- ATI Blue Special
- ATI Blue Plus

I would assume it is the latter combo, not the former.

First of all you have no idea what that tank looks like when you're standing there and no idea if it looks the same on my computer screen as yours. So realize that the example could look different to us reading your question than it does to you.

Having said that, a good place to start is by reviewing what each ATI T5 bulb does. (http://youtu.be/Y-TbkPJhHkY)

Thank you that is very helpful.

If your monitor is calibrated correctly (as mine is) the picture would look the same for both of us ;)

But yes I have already seen that video. Im still not totally sure though, what I want is a crisp white look with individual colours of corals and fish enhanced.

If you've only got four bulbs, I would probably give 2x Blue Plus and 2x Coral Plus (or 1x Coral Plus and 1x Purple Plus) or their Giesemann equivalents a shot.
