Sponge is changing color
when I arrived it was pink, then change to yellow and purple now, any reason?

looks like it could be dying...did you let it touch air..i heard that would do it...

it looks like bacteria - maybe even some form of cyano. not sure how much you can do about it. does it flake off?

the question is: is it possible that phosphate is involved in changing color?

theory could be that other corals a range of phosphate amending color.
over-fertilization of zooxanthellae modify it, but in this case?

Doesn't look photosynthetic...probably too much light, not enough flow and food?
