Hello RC,
I am trying to keep an inventory of what is in my tank and have a couple Corals that I have not been able to id. Can you help me with the following

Coral #1 - Blue LIghts
308547
Coral #1 - Day Lights
308546

Coral #2 - Blue Lights
308548
Coral #2 - Day Lights
308549

They are both zoanthid sp.

Thanks for the post.

For the second one that is what I was told, but it looked so much like my people eaters (with the exception of the mouth and the long stem) that I was thrown off.

The First one threw me off because the tentacle reached down instead of out and/or up and I have not been successful finding a picture.

The first may be a palythoa but I don't think so.

They are zoanthids; probably protopalythoa given their size and the prewsence of stems.Zoanthidae include : protpalythoa, palythoa, zoanthus and a several others. Don't know all the" collectible" labels folks put on the various morphs for marketting. I make up my own names for many of mine.

From the look of other pictures - protopalythoa is it for number 1.
