? about water volume

How do I dose a product that states 10ml every 50 gallons. (ultra algae x) I have Dino's. How am I going to calculate my tanks volume. I have no clue to the amount of pounds of rock I have. What can I do. My tank is 130 gallons and I have a 40 gallon sump . Both are stocked with rock. I guess I have around a pound per gallon or maybe a bit more. Not too sure what to do at this point. general rule of thumb is take 20 % for rock , so 100 gal tank minus 20 % = 80 gal.

Dont forget to fig in sump also

Don't forget to also figure actual tank volume. Measure the inside of the tank.

I suppose you will need to make a best guess. I would agree with the 20-25%. I would also make the assumption that there is a fudge factor in the dosing direction. That being said I would probably dose on the low side maybe for 90 gallons, if needed do it again. just my 2 cents.
