I have done Google searches on this, read many articles and I'm really confused. I have seen where some keep their tanks at 82-84 degrees and most keep their tank in the 75-78 degree range. My tank's temp goes down to about 74.5 at night and peaks about 76.7 during the day. I'm trying to figure out if I should boost my temps or are they ok where they are. Any advice would much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Jim

Depends if it's a fish only or a reef tank.

It's a reef tank. I have zoas, mushrooms, toadstool leather, finger leather, a branch monti, and a sand anemone. For fish, I have yellow tang, royal beauty, lawn mower blenny, clown, and a damsel. The tank is 75 gallon with a 20 gallon sump. Thanks!

78-80 is kind of the normal range. I've seen some people keep lower temps but not too many that keep higher temps. If everything is doing well I'd just keep it where it is or bump it up a degree or two.

Thanks. Everything/live stock seems to be just fine but I was getting concerned when the temp dropped below 75. Much appreciated! Jim

76-78 F Multiple Reef tanks. Dissolved oxygen is higher with lower temperatures.

I let my mixed reef tank range from a low of 75.5 at which point my heaters kick in during the winter to a high of 82 degrees during the summer. My fans turn on at 80 degrees to cool the tank, with LED lighting my tank maxes out at 82 degrees.
