Are these two compatable? Will a snowflake eel chow down on my mandarin or should it be safe. I can only imagine my mandarin being easy prey for the snowflake. He is slow moving and doesnt ever seem to be on guard(has no reason to be on guard as of now). Im really wanting a snowflake for my new 75 gallon I have ordered and it should arive this week.

Most predators leave mandarins alone because of their slime coating. However, if a snowflake wants a taste, its probably a goner. The good thing you have going for you is that the eel isn't a piscivore, so it will (hopefully) not go after fish. Snowflakes can go any way though, and I've read tons of stories about people having snowflakes eat all sorts of fish. It really depends on the individual.
