How do i read TDS while flushing my RO/DI system?

So I am revamping my 4 stage RO/DI system. I have all new BRS filters and a new BRS membrane. I am adding a pressure gauge, manual flush valve and a dual inline TDS meter. My confusion is when I am flushing the membrane before use how do I know when my TDS are 0 to start filling my reservoir. The #1 TDS probe is going between the membrane and the DI and the #2 probe between the DI and reservoir. When I open the flush valve the water won't be moving through the TDS probes to sense TDS.

Do I need additional valves or something?
