Hello, looking for opinions what type of lighting (besides halides) for a new 80 gallon rimless tank..
the tank dimensions are 24" D x 48"L x 16" H,,Im looking to for a light that will promote the best health and growth there is to offer for zoas and palys..
Planning to go BB with the tanks too for increased flow....

Zoos will grow with pretty much any lights you buy. My favorite was always a metal halide and T5 combo. I recently switched to LED and still get great growth with a insane POP in color. I have a completely mixed reef tank though. This question might be better answered in the zoanthids section. Here is a picture of my tank. Not too many different kinds of zoas, but I have to frag and sell off a good portion every 4-6 months. They take over if I don't. I have other colonies on the sides of my tank that you can't see.

+1

Zoos are not very demanding. They'll grow well with anything that provides a moderate level of light.

Feeding them will have a much greater affect than light when it comes to growing Zoos.
