It's out of stock. Guess I'm stuck running to WalMart with my 5 gallon jugs for a while longer. :(

Yea. Give it a few days. It'll be back in stock. Or call them up Monday. They are a great company to deal with.

Will do. I purchased an off brand eBay unit... wouldn't hook up to my faucets. Then they provided me with a cheap plastic adapter which fell to crap as soon as you used it once. Then after I finally got it all hooked up the damn thing leaked everywhere

Check out spectrapure, they have some great units as well.

They were selling the chloramine setup for $179 but the price is now 219 on their website. You may however be able to convince them to give you the lower price because the rolling add they have on their website hasn't been updated yet and still showes the 179 price.

I'd suggest giving them a call and see if they will bc once they see this post they will probably fix it. You may be the last one to get one at that awesome price

Worth a shot :)
If you go to their website it is the first thing that pops up.

BRS has it's upsides, I used them for many years.

I did however buy the spectrapure I mentioned above a month ago to replace an old worn unit and have been using their cartridges for about a year. If you look around the forums you will see less than a handful of vendors giving advice about RO. Spectrapure and Buckeye put in a fair amount of time. The actual size of the filters are standardized.

Air Water and Ice has a very nice 100gpd unit for $190!

Hey, that is a good deal! That is also the unit I replaced, It was 14 years old

The nice thing is you can put any filter you want in them and they are going to last a long time unless you subject them to freezing or sunlight. Key here is not to buy some junk with disposable components and a no name membrane. I was running the same cart setup as a spectrapure maxcap for the last year in 14 year old typhoon housings. The previous 7 years or so it was a mix between airwaterice and brs.

I've been using their products for years. Customer service with them is amazing too.

I've been using an Air Water & Ice unit for the last 3 years. They usually have free shipping promo's.

the air and ice one looks good but it seems it comes with plastic fittings for my faucet. I live in an older house and it chewed up the plastic ones that came with my cheapo unit. are these better quality?

They're a good pvc, you should think about using a saddle and using the supplied ball valve as a disconnect point. Works well and no worry about tearing up the fitting

Don't use plastic hose adapters inside your home.

Yes!

I've had an older version of this (no built-in TDS meter) for over five years servicing my 58g and still get 0 TDS using the original media. It has held up well through two moves with no broken parts or leaks.

I picked up a Du Pont microbiological under-sink filter at the local hardware store. It was under 200. A bit of work to hook up but well worth it. and you have good drinking water as well. you can get interchangeable ro/di filters for them. best filter I've ever had. absolutely zero of anything. might be something to look into.

Some may not think much of these, but I have been using these for many years and they work fine. The only thing I did do after awhile was added a second DI canister from BRS. A 100gpd unit for around $100.... You can't beat that. Thru the years I have bought 3-4 units from him, not 1 issue.

That's where I got my first unit from... leaked everywhere and the fittings they charged me extra for didn't work... granted I had a portable unit.
