Slightly nervous about the frogspawn. He was added on 2/16 and has been losing color and becoming transparent ever since I got him. I drip acclimated and dipped in Revive. I put him into the sandbed and left the lights off for the night, then allowed my regular photoperiod to ensue, which was a little longer then, like 13hrs attinics and 10hrs day lights.

I didn't think my T5's could cause bleaching, but I don't know what else it could be. I have since changed my photoperiod and moved the frogspawn under a ledge so it gets little light. Let me know what you guys think.

Ive got a torch a frogspawn a hammer coral a bunch of sps, etc. And my frogspawn never opens no matter what I do, but everything else is great full polyp extension on the sps etc. Sometimes not all corals will like every tank, some are weakened by factors unknown. (Assuming your water parameters are good). Is it just losing color or closed up all day everyday?

Edit: ive also found that euphylia do better in temperatures in the 77 degree range not 80 etc.

I saw julian sprung give a speach about this and since then ive lowerd temp about 2 degrees and see a higher success rate on these types of corals.

It is open during the day, just really losing color. It has become very transparent and even some of the green tips are fading. Everything else is the tank is doing excellent, params are rock solid.

Maybe in too much flow? If not, move it to a more shaded area....

How's the Tunze Nano ATO working for you? I have a 20L now with no ATO and been thinking about getting one

Some new algae has began to develop all over the tank. Given the age of the system, I am not really worried however there are lots of bubbles forming with this new algae. Anything to be concerned of?

Button polyp (bottom left), Glove Polyp (center) and my birdsnest (right). I'm not sure what to do with it because it is already encrusting and growing very fast but I can't find a good spot for the plug...

Looking good. You can always clip it off the plug and glue it somewhere. They usually encrust fairy quick. The coral on the bottom left appears to be a blasto, not a button polyp. If you paid button polyp price for it, you got a good deal! ;)
